The new 2021 Omega Seamaster 300 presents a refreshing way of presenting a brand’s ‘vintage’ watches and, rather than necessarily improving upon its predecessor, offers a very different flavour of Omega’s iconic dive watch.
Since 2014, Omega has offered an homage to their original, 1957 Seamaster 300 dive watch with its straight lugs, narrow bezel and broad-arrow hands. However, as one of the first entirely in-house models from this Swiss brand, the existing models available haven’t fitted with Omega’s wider collection and brand image for some years. In 2021, we are presented with the next chapter.
The 2021 Omega Seamaster 300 may look similar to its predecessor yet, in reality, doesn’t appear to share any appreciable component with a thinner, redesigned case, aluminium bezel insert, sandwich dial, new hands and even the addition of an all-new ‘bronze-gold’ version.
In this podcast, join me on a journey through every edition of this watch since 2014 and into every detail, aspect and quirk of the new 2021 Omega Seamaster 300.
