Watches are seriously popular online but has the internet and its hype, gossip and misinformation actually made things worse? Has the internet ruined watches?


Over the last decade, watches have gone from being a minor hobby to a thriving and popular industry even with the brinkmanship often surrounding financially-threatened manufacturers. We have seen endless limited editions to appeal to every taste and a truly fantastic community of watch lovers grow.

Even so, it is possible to argue that, with rising prices, difficult competition between brands and an often-negative attitude online, the internet hasn’t actually improved horology.
